Description:

Hiberno-Norse silver penny, Phase III, Class A (Plain Head), Type 1h (Long Cross with two hands + cross pommée). The obverse and reverse legends are, as usual, badly blundered and indecipherable.

Obverse:

  • Plain Bust, imitating Aethelred of England.
  • Legend: Badly blundered.

Reverse:

  • Long Cross imitation, with two symbolic hands and cross pommée in quadrants.
  • Legend: Badly blundered.
