Are you one of these people that constantly moan about the ugly designs of the ‘new’ euro coins and banknotes?

Well, this is your chance to help them (the European Central Bank) get it right !

In July 2015, the nineteen ‘full members’ of the Euro Zone area will jointly issue a commemorative euro coin to celebrate 30 years of the EU flag. Regardless of which country issues the coin, it will bear the same design on the national side, normally reserved for a motif specific to that country.

The five shortlisted coin designs for European Flag issue in 2015

• A professional jury selected five coin designs among the 62 designs submitted by Euro area mints.
• Euro-area citizens and residents are invited to select the winning design by public web-voting until 27 May 2015
• Win prizes including a holiday or an iPad by voting – VOTING IS NOW CLOSED
