Hiberno-Norse coinage, silver penny, Phase III, Class E (Plain bust with symbol – cross on neck), two hands on reverse. Badly blundered legends on both obverse and reverse – undecipherable.
Obverse:
- Stylised bust of Ethelred II, imitating earlier Phase I types.
- Symbol on neck – cross pattée.
- Legend: Badly blundered.
Reverse:
- Long cross, imitating earlier Phase I Long Cross type.
- Two hand symbols within the cross quadrants.
- Legend: Badly blundered.
