Hiberno-Norse penny, Phase III, Class E (Symbol above Head), Type 7 – Long Cross, with two hands. Echmarcach Mac Ragnaill. Badly blundered legends on both obverse and reverse – undecipherable.

Obverse:

  • Stylised bust of Ethelred II, imitating earlier Phase I types.
  • Symbol above head – one large pellet.
  • Legend: Badly blundered.

Reverse:

  • Long cross, imitating earlier Phase I Long Cross type.
  • hand symbols within the cross quadrants.
  • Legend: Badly blundered.
