Description:

Hiberno-Norse coinage, Phase III, Class A, Type 1b silver penny. The obverse and reverse legends, as usual, are badly blundered and indecipherable.

Obverse:

  • Plain Bust, imitating Aethelred of England.
  • Legend: Badly blundered.

Reverse:

  • Long Cross imitation, with symbolic hands (with pellet/thumbs) in 2 quadrants.
  • Legend: Badly blundered.
