An Hiberno-Norse silver penny, Phase III, Class A (Plain bust), Type 1e (two hands + one large pellet on reverse). The obverse and reverse legends, as usual, are badly blundered and indecipherable.

Obverse:

• Plain Bust, imitating Aethelred of England.
• Legend: Badly blundered (illegible).
  • + YIII  YYIO  IIIIII

Reverse:

• Long Cross imitation, with symbolic hands in 2 quadrants + 1 large pellet.
• Legend: Badly blundered (illegible).
