Hi. I have a 1942 1d penny that’s gold like (same colour as the old 20p coin)and the hen and chicks are silver. I cannot find anything online for this type of penny. It’s in a case and near mint condition.. Appreciate any help
Its probably one of series of very “over-priced” common Irish coins that were gold and silver-plated by a private company.
I’m not sure if they have a much of a “re-sale” value as they are not regular issues and most coin collectors shun them.
I am often offered them but I do not buy them, as I consider them junk.
Hello, I have a 1968 1d Élre. IHow do I go about getting it graded?
